Elite Canada Event Overview:

Come watch the top women’s artistic gymnasts in Canada in the novice, junior, and senior categories as they seek qualification for High Performance status, which gives them the right to compete in those categories at Canadian Championships and to be eligible to be considered for national teams and potential international competitions. A total of 45 medals will be awarded, and an Elite Canada titleholder will be named in each category.

This competition will play a crucial role in the selection process for the senior athletes looking to be named to the 2020 Canadian Olympic team for women’s artistic gymnastics. Canada qualified a full team of four athletes at the 2019 World Championships. It will also serve as an opportunity to select the athletes that will represent Canada at the 2020 Pan American Championships being held in Utah this May which is the last-chance Olympic qualifying event for this discipline. Athletes will also be selected for the 2020 Pacific Rim Championships being held in New Zealand in April.
