The Tumbling Winter Training Camp hosted by Oakville Gymnastics Club was a huge success this past weekend (February 14th to 17th).

We were very pleased to have our Guest Coach, Mikey French and his athlete, Megan Kealy, over from the Milton Keynes Gymnastics Club of Great Britain.  Megan is a 3 time World Age Group Champion, a Gold Medalist in the Senior Women’s Tumbling Team Final at the 2018 European Championships and a World Cup Silver Medalist in Senior Individual Women’s Tumbling.

We hosted 6 other club and had 75 tumblers from Level 1 to Senior participate over the course of the weekend.  We also offered three Coach Education Sessions and had a team dinner at Boston Pizza on Saturday night.

Thursday, February 14th started of the four camp.

Saturday, February 16th we had a smaller group but were happy to have guest from Osborne Academy, Rideau Gymnastics and Futures join us here in Oakville.

Our largest Training Session was the Provincial 1, 2 and 3 Level Session with 37 athletes from 5 different clubs.

Sunday, February 17th also had the largest Provincial 4 and National Training Session with most of Canada’s top Senior Athletes attending as well from Dynamo Gym in Cambridge.
