Coach In Training (CIT)
At Oakville Gymnastics Club, we have created a unique Coach In Training certification program to educate new employees on the basics of coaching, and prepare them to become a fully certified coach. Build your resume and enhance your future education and career opportunities as you progress from being a CIT to a Recreational Gymnastics Coach. We offer reimbursement for NCCP courses and performance based incentives.
Women’s Competitive Gymnastics Coach – Oakville Gymnastics Club (Oakville, ON)
Job Summary
Oakville Gymnastics Club is currently seeking Part time and or full time Competitive Women’s Artistic Coaches to join our growing team! What we need: A team player! Someone who wants to make a difference in a great club!
As part of the WAG Team, you will be responsible for instructing competitive program athletes, overseeing safety, and providing supervision and guidance.
Responsibilities and Duties Your main role is to encourage, motivate, and develop your athletes while preparing them for the competitive season. Hours of work consist of evenings, and weekends.
- Competitive coach in WAG programming including JO (compulsory and or Optional)
- Follow club policies and protocols
- Planning, developing, and implementing training sessions
- Develop a yearly plan for athletes
- Nurturing and developing all athletes’ potential skills and abilities
- Identifying strengths of athletes and areas for improvement
- Attending competitions, training camps etc. as requested
- Communicate with parents
- Attending club and staff meetings / training sessions as requested
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Applicants must have:
- NCCP WAG Comp 1 (or equivalent) for JO Compulsory levels
- NCCP WAG Comp 2 for JO Optional levels (or willing to obtain)
- NCCP Trampoline Comp 1
- Respect in Sport
- CAC Safe sport training
- Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector)
- NCCP Making headway in sport
- Standard First Aid + CPR-C (or be willing to obtain)
- The aptitude to be a self-starter when required, and willingness and ability to follow directions from the Competitive Manager
Based on your certification and experience, you will receive competitive wages and a compensation package that may include group benefits, RRSP matching, and 3 weeks of vacation.
